Steel support that reaches stable soil

A helical pile is a steel shaft with one or more circular helix plates. Specialized hydraulic equipment rotates it into the ground until the planned depth and installation torque are achieved.

The installed pile transfers compression, tension, and lateral forces from the structure into more stable soil below weaker surface layers.

What happens below the surface matters most.

A helical pile does not rely on a shallow pad of disturbed soil. Its steel helices rotate into the ground until the system reaches the planned bearing layer and installation resistance. The shaft then transfers the structure’s loads through weaker surface material into stable soil.

Depth is not identical on every project. Soil conditions, structural loads, pile size, helix configuration, and measured torque determine the final installation. Brackets, caps, or concrete connections complete the load path between the pile and the supported structure.

Yes. Helical piles are commonly installed year-round and avoid the curing requirements associated with poured concrete.
